PLACEingObjects is a limited-edition x 25 artist's publication (and PhD thesis APPENDIX I), made in collaboration with Amina Gawhari and Hannah Mariette, that aims to offer a discursive invitation. It is a set of twenty-five loose-leaf curved card pages: one side about the show, the other the Day of Dialogue. They draw their shape from Mulholland’s iPad mini, bound with a bolt and wingnut from Stead’s installation, that allows them to be swivelled, flipped or disassembled in various combinations: a performative medium that unfolds over time. The intention is to allow a reader to enter, be playful and physically engaged with the content, making it less of a toolkit or supporting catalogue, and more a playful interventional-object-as-invitation. The pages are in relationship with a split concrete wedge, cast with the logo PLACEing Objects, as three objects that then can be arranged in various formations: placed within, supported, rested, or sifted into piles held by a paperweight. To open up accessibility to the content the pages have been reproduced here.
